Well, he went “back” I guess you could say because from the beginning you could see how the guy that was tortured was never liked and was never wanted because of his personality. Now that he found someone that wants him no matter what his personality is like, he didn’t care in the end if he was a rapist psycho. He just wanted the feeling of being wanted
