Recently I came across a lot of translations from Spanish or Chinese... when the original is obviously Japanese... so yeah... that as well... *just felt like complaining a bit, bc nobody really cares, the faster the better they say, you know, yeah, right*...
I really understand you, I do, it's just this particular case, comparing to the other catastrophes I've witnessed last month, feels like nothing to me :'D I feel like here the translator was just humble... but that's not always the case... so yeah...

You're using the word deserve in such a wrong way.
no one deserves my thanks for feeding me shit, even if it's free.
They're not contributing to the community, they're affecting it with shitty translations. So many groups and people work very hard to give us quality translations and then these people just 'deserve' praise cause they used Google translate for clout?
nope.
Let the people that actually do a good job keep doing it, and stop discouraging people that do a good hard work by praising these people that do nothing but run a translator and call it a day.

If you put yourself out there, it's on you.
this person decided to post their badly done work online, for everyone to see, so it's out there for critique as well.
the emperor is not wearing clothes bro. He's naked.
This are bad translations and this is a bad trend.Just calling it like it is.
Sorry I'm not part of the circlejerk.

yes, they do, even if they just used google translate, they clean, they typeset, they make content available that might not be published for a long time with how busy the scanlation groups are, or if no group picked up the work yet.
and even scanlation groups make mistakes, don‘t pretend like they are perfect. japanese is very different from english so often there are simply no „right“ direct translations and ppl whose first language is neither japanese nor english have to make decisions, whether they are in a group or not. then there‘s the stress of publishing in a group and the proofreader might miss a bad phrasing...
I’ve been reading smut since 15 years, it has never been 100% perfect. and tbh it doesn‘t even matter bc in the end we are reading porn, not literature. „the emperor is not wearing clothes, he’s naked“ - oh, come on...
it’s sad bc maybe you don’t realise it but with your attitude you discourage beginner translators from getting into the community. imagine you just started to learn japanese and translate to improve your skills, thinking you might as well share it with others. then you get hate for it... do you really think beginners want to put in work and get better to eventually join a group if the community is giving off ungrateful vibes? everybody has to start somewhere...

>since I was 15
Me too? This isn't relevant.
Why the fuck even bring this thread back....
But sure, I'll bite. I never tell the people to stop, I ask them to get help cause it's obvious it's over their level. If they have a bad attitude to boost then that just proves they just did a shitty job for clout and that affects us cause now we're stuck with that bad work.
I don't like it, it's bad, this a fact. I'm allowed to state this.
It really bothers me that you all go in this "but be nice uwu" tangents. Did that make the translation better? No, it didn't so it's not even a point.
Translation bad. That's it.
Omg this is going to be a trend now, bad translations.
Thanks you all you made it, time to spend money on renta.
