It's normal to feel weird these days but given the time around the story, girls her age were already getting married to much older men. I think the author makes it pretty obvious that she won't be getting with anyone any time soon. I personally don't know who to root for.

Yeah I understand. I think there's will be a time skip soon anyway and things will get more serious.
