Keep in mind that everything I am referring to are things that happened in the past. So the count started a rebellion against the king (our blonde haired male lead) because yes, you heard correctly, Larriet is NOT the count's daughter. She's a princess from another strong and wealthy kingdom. Her mother who was really close friends with the count's wife, took larriet in. I don't know the specific reason for this, but the ML already knew of this secret. Because Larriet had royal blood, the count planned to use her in order to take the throne from the empress. He had no ill intentions actually, he just wanted what was best for the country, since he saw that the ML wasn't a good fit as ruler because he was a tyrant. So him, and the other aristocrats formed a rebellion, and the result of that was failure, leading to all of their deaths.

can someone explain just what the fuck is up with the count and why does he keep resurfacing as the key character with the make or break information? was he really killed just because he knew the secret of the prince's origin story? one of the comments also mentioned that he wasn't larriet's real father, so can someone please explain to me what the actual fuck is going on with the count??
