Idk if the kingdom had fallen but the queen (his stepmother) started taking power after the king (his dad) fell ill. Obviously the queen wanted her own son to succeed so they bullied him. I thought they had purposely sent him there or something instead of Hyperion capturing him but I could be wrong
Oh, right! Now I remember, he was sent to the Hyperion. It looks like the queen in Cahill's kingdom wants to get rid of him, poor child.
But it's good that he's in Hyperion now or else he wont meet our pretty cute princess (he's a husband in the making for her)
