Religion do be having a great influence when it comes to their ruling that's why this empire is so jumbled up. At the current times (well in our country at least idk abt u guys) the church shouldn't interfere with the ruling of the government, it doesn't matter how much sway they have with the people. This just depicts how the church vould be corrupted as well, in this case interfering with the judgement of Neuwanstein (did I spell that right?) so that they can get ahold of the money and power the family have. Not only that, bcs of the church the people are also being divided, calling non believers heretics or sinners, might be even punishing them.

What complete bs I say!

But even so, the author is a clear intellectual who understands this and it's *chef's kiss* beautiful. The world building, character development after character development, a kickass fl, mc vs the society conflicts, and an interesting take on the reincarnated-brought-time-back-thing. This manhua is a clear masterpiece.

Okay, I'm done with my rant now :D

I agree with you! formely in the Philippines when it was still colonised by Spanish the one who rule and give judgement are the priest. They are the ones who decide what happend to the sinner and they also harvest money from the people in pretend that it was for the religion.

    Heyyy fellow Filipino!

And yeah, exactly my thoughts. Not only that, when the farmers weren't able to reach the minimum number of produce that they should reach, the people would also need to compensate it with money or buy a load from other farmers. If they weren't able comply they would have to work for the government without pay. And from the spoilers that I've read

The young ugly ass brown haired priest has a thing for Shuli bcs she looks like the former empress that he has the hots for. He thinks she's of the devil or some shit just bcs he can't handle his boner. It's a Father Frollo and Esmeralda type of thing. Frollo the crazy ass priest would even burn down all of Paris just bcs of one woman.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Yup, Frollo is a sick dude and in the end he finds out that Esmeralda was actually his daughter from a gypsy he raped.... Right? The greatest twist of all.
