i think bc he experienced it before so he killed penny as way to save him ??? i’m not sure tho it’s like bc he’s a psychopath/sociopath that’s his twisted way of saving him from what he has seen/experienced before
i really dont think the psycho is that nice. he just wants peter’s attention, and this is one way of doing it.

the reason he was being executed in the beginning was for killing an officer and murdering/raping numerous victims that were women and children. This chapter also confirmed that he has anti-social personality disorder so I don't think he's capable of feelings like that. It's a good theory tho

the priest knows how the killer feels about him so he uses himself to get what he wants then threatens to commit suicide when he doesn't. i kinda feel like he killed penny to save him from getting raped but at the same time he is a killer after all so who know? doesn't seem to me that he likes the pedo tho which could mean he knows he sexually abused peter when he was a child so i'm hoping he won't hand over kids just for it to happen again. at this point idk whose side i'm on but i wanna see some fucking between them already
