I've heard that looking at someone's forehead while talking to them might be more intimidating. While looking at the mouth can suggest you wanting to kiss someone or come off as flirty (with the exception of those who are deaf and can read you lips while you talk) The nose idea could work, since it would be hard to distinguish (I would imagine) I'm someone whos more or less comfortable looking someone in the eyes without feeling awkward, but everyone is different!
actuality don't stare at anyone's mouth area, it'll be awkward and weird. Instead, look at their forehead or between their eyes.
