The duke (the young girl right now) disguised himself to look like a girl because the older duke (his father) adopted him and told him to look like a girl. Right now he’s taking potions to stunt his growth so he continues to look like a girl even though he’s a guy

Got a little bit confused, because we started at the point where Blair left and little grown up (male) Duke showing up to take her back. But Blair is waking up having a dream a few years befor this incident happend, than she's like living her days, but when she remember the 1st steps with the young lady whe got again a time travel back and after that time continues like normally day by day?... Did I got something wrong... Did I miss something? Tell me ppl I'm listening pls de-confuse me
