Layye just has helped Kenneth realise he never really 'loved' Ibelin (hence why he can no longer stand her touch as well).
There was never any reason why Kenneth was supposed to fall in love with Ibelin - but because she is the heroine, everyone loves her without any reason.
Now Kenneth has a burden lifted from his shoulders, him and Latte are friends and Zrwin made it know he's in love with Latte :)

So kenneth don't like being touched or touch girl and we all know that he can touch ibelin. But he counseling with latte saying he can't touch ibelin anymore and he become confused, latte clear all his doubt like he realized that he don't love ibelin anymore there not even a reason why he would love her and yes he is not one of the fish anymore

Also arwin come barge in, i believe because he know latte meeting with another guy and kenneth realize arwin and latte relationship , arwin was like "now u know don't get to close"

But yes now kenneth thought of latte as a close friend
