go to chap 28 "save point" and reread it, whatever that happened in this chapter isn't real, its just a visualization. on both their parts, mr. Sharpe with the first part of his, his desire for rabbit but also his guilt and shame if he would act on it.
and the second part rabbit, rabbits desire to kill warren, as said in chapter 28, he wants to put a bullet in warrens head, so in the visualization, dream or whatever, he got a gun from mr. Sharpe.
