Finally! I was hoping someone other than me point this out! Lucia NEVER wears revealing clothes. The most revealing clothing she wore outside was a dress with a design on the back (Hugh fumed alot for that dress, he was like what.is.that)
Yes and he wanted to shout that everyone needed to look down at the floor so that nobody saw her beauty.Even the more modest dresses made his wife too pretty to be shown off. He wanted to fire the designer over and over again.

In the novel she liked modest dresses, she also used to wear neck covering dresses occasionally(even though she disliked it sometimes) for, well, reasons.
The dresses are really pretty and would probably work if it was a ball or banquet where she did wear (spoiler?) A backless dress and low cut dresses.
I can't help but feel that those dresses don't fit the way her clothes were originally described.
