like i'm not blaming the FL for her situation/acting submissive to gain favour, like, tbh she's making the best out of her situation, it's just that idk. i really hate that the sexism here feels romanticised/accepted as the norm and doesn't change even though the author addresses it as a massive problem.
i dropped this pretty early on, because i started sensing the idea that this plot won't settle for equality, but rather, use the misogynstic setting to make our FL seem special/different from the other girls because the males treat her relatively decent (not even has a human, but like an endearing pet?). like. idk. it just makes me so uncomfy that the sexism is addressed, but isn't seen as a big enough problem to change?? like does it get any better? because i'm reading other comments and it sounds like there isn't any world/societal development at all
