isn't it that at ch 17 in the flashback they hint Eliott's father was Helena's (lillian's mother) brother, which means Eliott and Lillian are cousins? I didn't read beyond that yet so I'm not sure but that's what I got...

I didn't see that implication anywhere? But even if they are cousins it's common in those days for cousins to marry. The only thing they were hinting at was that Lillian isn't the dads kid.
