People expecting TS/SY to be a couple of just fluffy cuddling will never get this just like you said. Theyre into rough play, both of them. They can be all sweet and loving where we can see later in future chapters i fact in last few chapters back but TS/SY will have this dom-sub relationship too. What people dont get Soyoung is in a process of starting this new relationship with Taeseung which is rough yet caring totally different from jisung. He also just having an awakening to being a lil masochist and got caught up in the feels with his suppose to be creditor.

The TS/SY relationship was never meant to be your typical domestic lovey-dovey yaoi. As someone mentioned in another comment Taeseung, a mafia leader, is inherently not a Good Guy and all of his interactions with Sooyoung will not always be something we can objectively say 'yes this is wholesome'. HOWEVER, compared to Minhyuk who SY only sees as a dongsaeng/younger brother and who took advantage of SY when he was barely conscious I will pick TS over him any day, with the ultimate option of SY remaining single and happy (but this isn't the story for that now is it). Now as slow as the development is with TS/SY at least these recent chapters have SY in the process of sorting out his thoughts and feelings for TS, and possibly awakening to a masochistic side of himself stemming from the abuse/dependency he's experience from Jisung. Their relationship is neither healthy nor wholesome at the moment, but I don't think it's meant to be (yet) considering we're still only 30 chapters into a story with very slow pacing.
Although if you want wholesome TS/SY there's plenty of it on the author's twitter. Blackapricot draws them a lot so you can enjoy their lovey-dovey relationship there instead of the webtoon itself. (●'◡'●)ﾉ
