I agree. The romance would just get in the way of the plot. Unless the mangaka pulls off something to make the romance work without ruining the storyline, I don't really want to see any romance happening any time soon.

To each their own ;) I don't think that pair would be bad either. It seems like a likely pair considering their past together. Honestly I would be happy with whichever (as long as it is well executed), but I just think that Hayasaka is a cutie, and I can't resist his adorableness. Saeki is just handsome and can be cool sometimes. I actually wish there were more scenes with him, there is very little we actually know about the characters :/
At the very end, I would love it if Hayasaka and Mafuyu ended up together.
