Could you please explain to me what is wrong with my translations? Where it isn't understandable or accurate? Also this is not my first time translating, I have experience. I have been asked for help by a lot of english and spanish scan groups, because of my good translations.You're like the first person I see complain about any of it. No offense to the previous uploader, but the translation and interpretation was bad and didn't make sense and match what the characters were truly saying. The person would even admit it themselves that they didn't understand. Idk where the problem is with my translations, since it's better phrased and accurate. I'm sharing these wholeheartedly out of kindness for those who can't afford to buy the chapters. The reason why I took down the first upload of ch.19 was cuz the quality and translation was bad to the point of ppl asking me to re-upload it cuz they couldn't understand. Unless I'm misunderstanding the discredit page at the beginning of the chapters, blue orchid is the uploaded and translation team that does the translated versions that are not in the font comic sans, correct? If so, then, your translations may be more directly accurate (by this I mean word-for-word translated, not phrasal), however, word-for-word translations are not always understable to the English language due to slang, difference in sayings, etc. What I am saying is that the translations I'm not "satsified" with (not that I'm not, I've translated Japanese scanlations and it's hard, so I know how hard it is and how much work goes into it so I'm not belittling your efforts and I'm obviously not the only person who thinks so, but maybe the first one to say so) are not accurate to the English language and its nuances, resulting in readers having to translate your translations, even subtly to have it make more sense. Grammatically, as well, they are not wholly accurate. There are numerous errors all over. I don't know if that's your proofreader's errors or your own, but they are there. Personally, the translations translated by the translator who did chapter 13 and others by the same (I did not get their name) person, are far more accurate to understanding the overall conversation in English than yours, regardless of the watermarks. Now, if I have that backwards and you are that translator, I'll apologize. If I'm right (and I double checked to make sure), then my opinion still stands. Directly translating doesn't mean it's interpreted correctly, which is my point. Yours may be a direct translation but the meaning of what's said and the feelings are lost in that translation--which is where that term comes from. I hope this did not offend, as it's not meant to. I have a tendency to speak formally when talking to strangers.
It doesn't offend me at all, I also tend to speak formally when talking to strangers. I perfectly understand, some ppl might think we're being "rude" or "arrogant", when it's just the way we talk. My translations are not word for word. In every language certain words can have various meanings and there can be a lot of slangs. I translate and interpretate to add the most accurate english words for what it means in the phrase (btw the previous upload of ch.19 was word for word translated, it didn't make sense, cuz like I said, the words can have various meanings or just be a slang) I just don't understand how the translations are confusing, if you maybe mean the dialogue, I can understand, cuz the story itself is confusing at times. They often jump from a topic to the other and there's the characters their miscommunication. But that's just how the author writes the story.
I completely understand continuity issues. It happens all the time, especially with new writers. Like I said, it's not that your translations are not understandable, just that there are subtle phrasing and oddities that make me have to double-take and reword a phrase or something. That's just my personal preference.
Also, I know! Isn't it disappointing how formalities are just not common anymore? It's rather annoying when you try to have a decent conversation with someone and they think you're being rude because you use formal language and phrasing rather than informal and casual. Because of that. I just make sure to let the person know that's the way I speak to someone I don't know. It May be old fashioned, but I AM old fashioned. Haha.
I understand your point of view. I just try my best to make it understandable for the readers. And I totally agree! I'm old fashioned as well. Even through text messages, ppl think I'm angry or sth. I don't understand why formal language is mistaken for rudeness. Anyways...have a good day/night!!!
All you can do is your best, right? Am I gonna be upset if you keep translating this? Not in the slightest. You do a great job, regardless of what my personal preference is. So keep at it!
Also, I don't get it either. Especially in a business setting. I have to write emails and such to clients on a regular basis and I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have someone think I'm being rude when what I've written is void of tone. By the way, what does "sth" stand for??

...and we all appreciate the effort you put in, but the other translations are better. Wording and grammar is more correct, traditional comic sans is used, translations are more accurate., etc.... I really prefer the other translator take it over and continue. But still, I appreciate the effort. I hope that if they continue to translate, you won't take it down and repost with yours.
