ML trying to get control of step brother's (the real son) shares, GOT level of scheme, and later regretting it for FL...Aunt trying to sub for her dead sister in BIL's heart (previous generation), country's family system of not being able to adopt the step brother even if FL is literally the only relative in MILES. Love at first sight is the most BS thing in Harlequins, rude from the beginning until the end of the misunderstanding
