i read a comment that stated, "I don't really think...her being fat or bigger was the issue in this. At least the issue for the Mc. The fat on the character was more of a metaphor based on the negativity and hatred she'd felt all her life. That's why it like...melted off her, it wasn't a good thing for her. and the Mc even mentioned she was still cute when she was bigger so...
I dont think the point of the story is fat=bad but fat = coping mechanism from years of trauma"
which is what i think it was what it was MEANT to represent
the story is good(im just really not fond of the body shaming and stuff) but we gotta admit that the art is truly immaculate the details, coloring and all *chef's kiss*
