my sister was the one to show me Yaoi I was in MIDDLE SCHOOL and she was in high school. I didn’t start reading it until I go to high school though (I think I was at the end of my Junior year) I use to just look over her shoulder while she reads them. We have a whole book shelf Dedicated to yaoi’s. And then you have my manga where my Yaoi and yuri are mixed together *blush* I LOVE MY YAOI!! Thank you my sister for corrupting me at a young age

well my mom loves anime soo I guess that helps. The rest lol my mom doesn’t know we read Yaoi and she kinda gets mad we buy manga a lot lol. The plushies she loves and had stolen some, like she says, oh cute! For me? And we just cave. And I’m currently in the process of getting my own place with my bestfriend. They also like anime and I corrupted them with manga lol my dad... well he knows about it but he doesn’t know how much we have. But if you want manga make sure you check out half price books
My parents approval. I mean I’m an “adult” (adult age but still a child lol) and I have a job and pay for my own things. So they don’t really have a lot of say. Plus it helps they are kinda laid back in some areas. But they know it’s my money I can do what I want with it. I’m kinda responsible and know I need to buy certain things before I can have fun. I have 5 cats (1 is my sister’s and the other 4 I rescued ) so of course my cats come first and paying my bills and gas in my car. Other than that I’m good to go. And I know I’m cheap AF! Do half price books is my bestfriend

Oh god bless your mother seriously, it's not easy for parents to think of what their kids doing is fun, or like why are you wasting your time, my mother as well knows I love anything anime/manga related she did try to gift me such stuff whenever she could, and used to get curious about them sometimes but not necessarily into it, may god bless her soul
It's also really good to have friends who accept and get involved with your interests it doubles the fun tbh

I got my first cat when I just tuned 18 years old. She was 4 weeks old and I had to bottle feed her. I tried college but decided I wanted to figure out what to do with my life so I just worked. I was a nanny for a family of 4 and that’s were I got my twin kittens at. We rescued an 11 year old cat and now I’m a crazy cat lady lol. I’m only 20 I’m not that old lol
