No. She experienced so many hardships because she has no parents and has to support herself and her brother. Sometimes taking the money is the most rational decision, huge gap on status in reality can't be easily closed with love and affection. And besides, if she didn't take the money ML's mother will find away to make it harder for her and that will make the reality sink in to her that it's impossible for them to be together. She might even think "what can I offer him?" and doubt herself. She's only thinking what's best for both sides
