ikr?? It's so cliché how they mostly portrait straight people/relationships in BLs as something traumatic and bad, while also erasing bi/pan/etc , as if you can only be gay or straight... I guess it's an overused method to extend the plot and create more drama

i didnt realize this excuse was kinda common in BL when i first started reading the genre.
“straight men will leave you” “cant date a straight man.” “You don’t actually like me. You like women too.” And it shows their tragic backstory of “straight men” cheating on them with/leaving them for women to justify their preferences.
