ok so i love how the author tries to carry the plot with just facial expressions because it's realistic and has such a special mood to it.. but they are really hard to figure out a lot of the times man...
I think the gist of what happened this chapter is that Taehan was both excited/anxious (also the two emotions that make his eye color change) and tried to contain his emotions in front of Doyun. And Doyun didn't take it seriously until the end basically because that's just how he is (Same with his pheromones. It probably would've only hit him when he would've been 5 months pregnant already ctfu) And then at the end of it when he half-jokingly mentioned marriage (of course he kinda meant it because he was happy that Taehan was maybe..probably? excited for the baby) Taehan's eyes turned yellow... which could mean that Taehan was excited and/or anxious. And that's where it's hard to figure out what's really going on...
my 3 possible interpretations for the last scene are: 1) Taehan's eyes turned yellow because he is anxious (or has negative feelings overall) at the mention of marriage which left Doyun feeling depressed and bummed out. 2) Doyun interpreted Taehan's eyes shifting to yellow as him being anxious at the mention of marriage but Taehan's actually excited and it's just a good ole misunderstanding. Or 3) Taehan's eyes turned yellow because he is excited and very serious about Doyun and their future and Doyun noticed that and it made him snap out of his constant joking around and hit him with reality. And now they are all serious and sentimental, full of heavy emotions, thinking about the future, just realising things.
Or... 4) maybe it's just all of the above because it's supposed to be left open just like with Doyun rubbing his belly at the end of season 1. That's why their expressions and communication are so unclear and can be interpreted either way. It also represents Taehan's eye color shifting and how close anxiousness and excitement are related to each other. Thus the only thing that should be obvious to the reader in this chapter is the overall mood of uncertainty.. excitement/anxiousness/seriousness about the future... which is supposed to set the mood for season 3 which is gonna be all about serious life decisions and the future. The end of season 1 was smut and them being lovey dovey, mood was raunchy and cute, and that's what we pretty much got this season.... so I think that the last chapter of each season is a good indicator for what's to come.
And I believe 4) is how the chapter is supposed to be perceived but 3) is what's really going on in this scene. Just because of the sunset (sunrise?) and the overall mood because of the pink sky... maybe also a metaphor for a possible baby girl in the future? The mood to me is more positive than negative because of them starring into the sunset... maybe there is a certain hopefulness about the future to it even tho they are uncertain idk
I think the next season is gonna be all about taking the next step and going forward in life. No more fooling around. Most of you gonna be relieved because everyone was already complaining about the amount of smut... couldn't be me lmfao but I'm also excited for them planning their future and the plot going forward now
