Alright, this is going to be a long one but PLEASE bear with me. I remember reading OR watching this EXACT plot unfold but for the life of me, I cannot remember WHERE. Knowing myself it was probably a yaoi, that's why I'm asking here.
The plot twist is as follow:
There are 2 kids, they are NOT blood related. For better clarity let's call them kid A and kid B. There is a scene where the mom of kid A tells him they have to go somewhere and to get in the auto but kid B sprints out and BEGS for them to stay there and not go. Eventually they not go. Kid A HATED kid B because he thought he was more loved by his own family and he grows distant from him and jealous and thought that kid B stopped them because he wanted for kid's A mom to love kid B more. Time skip, they are now teens/adults and there is the plot reveal that the mum had wanted to travel because she had actually decided to commit suicide and bring kid A to death with her. Kid B knew about this and begged to stay there so she couldn't do it. As kid A eventually gets to know this, he forgives kid B.
