    woops i meant subspace

    subspace
That very special place the submissive or masochist enters when he/she reaches a natural chemical high and/or change in mental and/or emotional balance of the brain chemistry, and state of mind. Best achieved when total trust is in place with his/her Dominant, and one totally immerses themselves in an intense BDSM scene. Note: The sub may not be capable of making rational decisions about his/her safety and well-being at this point, thus it is the responsibility of the Dom to provide for the welfare of his/her sub, this is known as, "aftercare".

Subspace is when you're like in a submissive mindset. So for example, during daily life, you don't like being called a slut, but when you're in subspace, you absolutely love it.

Sub drop is related but different. Usually when someone is in subspace, they have a lot of adrenaline, endorphins, serotonin, etc aka "happy hormones" which make them euphoric. However, this depletes them (temporarily) which makes someone feel kind of low, hence the "drop." This is why aftercare is really important. Without aftercare (like cuddling, giving them water, cleaning them up, giving assurances, praising them, etc.), the sub could just feel really scared and miserable even if it's just temporary.

I think it is (just based on my own experiences ) because mc seems very self aware and wanting it as an escape from his reality, but I do think that consent is VERY dubious or downright not there depending on how you look at it. I don't consider it consent when he was thrown into an orgy because he was in subspace when it started. there's also the general ethical ambiguity with the whole power dynamic between him and the doctor
