People reach differently to everything. Just because you didn't express sadness doesn't necessarily mean you are emotionless or that you didn't understand it was sad. Though if you didn't understand parts of the story that would be whole different thing. I think why most people cry to this one or at least for me is the pain of loving someone (whether it be a close friend or a lover) when you know you have to let them go. That's probably why he kept saying "You're so cruel," since Tomoya expressed mutual feelings despite knowing he'll have to leave in the morning. Tbh I think Tomoya's departure was similar to a character's death, loving them and only having memories of a person you love is probably one of the most heartbreaking things in this world. Especially with Tarou not being able to fully let him go. But it probably varies per person.
