at first,he thoughhtshe was courting him thru his son
like the sword, he thought she wrote the recipiwnt as the son in guise of sending him gifts.
but then when he found out the handkerchief have the sons face (not him) he realized she truly likes the son BUT more like wanting to be a family even if he already have a son
