Or the possibility that he was not blushing because he saw Akane, but rather he saw Ai. Remember that in his past like Aqua was a huge fan of Ai and her acting must have been really convincing because Ruby also mistook her for Ai. If Akane confesses though I don't think he would say yes because even if she acts as Ai, it's only an act and not Ai herself.
Ok Aqua’s blush has to been fake. I won’t believe it. It’s got to be too conflicting to blush that hard, having someone mimic a person who’s got odd but close connections to you with such accuracy. Nope nope nope.
