It might be that the spirits know that it'll be a huge burden on her right now, so they want to protect her from people who would want to harm her and her family. Not that she actively hid it from her family. When she came back she was afraid of people finding out, but everyone only saw the 2 she got vs all of the spirit kings. Even if she said she made a contract with ALL of them they will just say "Oh sweetie, you just got 2."
I fully agree with this
I do like it but i really dont like how she hid the spirits from her family. like they love her and would help her navigate and share any social burdens of the future with her but nope. she keeps it to herself to deal with alone. I pity her family for the little trust and importance she seems to hold on important matters. idk, I just really dont like that trope
