A Pixar-like Modern Fairytale

I know there are a LOT of BL mangwa's with similar looking characters, similar dynamics, and even similar plot lines. But that doesn't mean each story can't be unique and beautifully written. 'A Guy Like You' was just that. I wasn't unfamiliar with the protective light-haired 'top', or the insecure, kind, dark-haired, 'bottom'. Or even the brown-haired psycho 'ex', but this mangwa was so well done, I forgot all about the tropes.
The plot was actually really rich with the fate stone/envy stone conflict, and it really was a cohesive story. Not to mention how well written and heart-wrenchingly adorable the story wrapped up in the end. I guess that's what I adore the most about this piece, just how cohesive and well-thought out the plot was. In many mangwas, you can see the differences in the arcs- almost making the story incomplete with never wrapping it all together. This did exactly as a story should, and I adored how the loose ends came together as well as how it went back to the retreat place seen in the first episode. The juxtaposition with dreams/reality, the character growth, and the ability to see common symbols and themes all come together at the end was nothing less than perfect. I guess what I adore the most, is the simple beauty and satisfaction that comes with going along on this adventure with Jinha & Siwon.

Much love to the author, and I can't recommend the pixar-like, modern fairytale that is 'A Guy Like You', enough. (=・ω・=)

Like seriously if this said it was made by Disney/Pixar I would not be surprised. That's how well written, thought out, and heartwarming it was at the end.

Also I'm so proud of them, and I bawled my eyes out uHh- ( ̄∇ ̄")
