What would of been a better story for this manga

Rather than the pathetic ML who takes "bros before hoes" to the extreme .
This manga would of been more interesting had it focused more on the older doctor and his wife's story. They seem more wholesome.
Or atleast a character like Takahisa got his long due Karma.

I notice a theme in Japanese manga (even those written by women) that the abuse, harassment and subjugation of women by men is normalised to the point it bares no real consequence. No punishment either through retribution or legal channels.
And the mangas written by Japanese men usually are more extreme in this element to the point of dehumanisation.

Because whilst Japan is indeed "kawaii~" and polite and respectful, it is a cover for a lot of horrible shit that goes on behind the scenes. Whilst I consider them the best years of my life, I won't ever work or live in Japan again. The sexism, misogyny, and xenophobia are no joke. A co-worker of mine (Japanese) was sexually assaulted a few years ago. Bearing in mind she worked with a bunch of foreigners like myself, we urged her to report it to the police. She was made to re-enact the scene over and over again with life sized dolls, and at the end of it, her case was dropped because the prosecutor said that there wasn't enough evidence (can't bring down that 99% conviction rate!) All she had to say was 'shoganai' (it can't be helped), since she knew from the start that nothing would come from it. Things are changing in Japan sure, but definitely not at the same rate in the west. Women are still expected to resign after getting married, which closes a lot of promotion opportunities ("can't promote a woman since she might get married and quit!")
