tbh i really do like lyn. she does seem a bit naive but with the bit we’ve seen of her thoughts, she does seem genuine. i agree that it’ll be disappointing if lyn turns out to be the villain.
Honestly I think Lyn just has a thing for the empress, like in the scholar scene you can her Lyn blushing and looking at the empress, maybe Lyn is just heckin jealous cause the emperor is falling for the empress and she didn't think he would (or Lyn is just like my friend, you can't have, only me, mine!! kinda thing idk)

If lyn turns out to be the villain I’ll be kinda dissatisfied/ disappointed. I love the female lead sm :/ and it sucks that if lyn betrays her in a way that she might be a little sad seeing how affected she is when lyn gets hurt and all :((
