I thought this was historical then all of a sudden there was a tv, modern-esque school, and an aquarium.

I'm thinking is pretty modern. Mashiro is a college student party timing as a Maid. And they have cars, trains and airplanes.

I got confused as well because she used the word Duke a few times in the beginning.
