Okay I wanna disagree but you make so much sense like did he love her from the first time they meet? Or did he treat her as a little sister or something then fell in love with her in later years? Wait she's still young at that time too. I wanna agree with you but I felt the same as her, I fell in love with someone who was 6-7 years older than me[I was in elementary back then and he was in college], I know it was wrong, the feeling was mutual but we were never together officially, stuff happened and now we're just friends with no feelings at all
The age difference bothers me. If there weren’t such a horrendous age difference-what was she in middle school when his dad died and the in high school when they were engaged? That’s super uncomfortable. Maybe a year or two age difference wouldn’t have been so bad but like almost ten years(I’m guessing?)no. Nope. Now, if you ignore that (which is super hard) then it’s not bad. He’s an idiot and she’s stubborn and headstrong and takes zero shit for the mst part. No swooning? Awesome. If there were such an age gap I’d have liked this as opposed to being squicked out by it and bemoaning the massive cute potential had he not been grooming her since she was, what, ten?
