He didn't suddenly start caring about him. He never stopped loving Nakyum, but was deeply hurt by his "betrayal". But he was shook when he saw how traumatised Nakyum was after he tied him up so he comforted him on instinct. Nothing Seungho does is out of character for him. Not excusing his behaviour, but we know he is unstable with a violent temper
At this point, the story feels like it’s dragging and going in circles. One moment he’s abusing nakyum, the next he’s caring about him. It’s getting exhausting and nakyum deserves so much better- if you look at it, all of this is because he has shit luck and did nothing to actually deserve anything of this
