Ikrr. I do feel bad for him and that he is being labeled a jerk just because the story is being told from the female pov. Trust everyone would have been cursing her if the story had been told from his point of view. But tbh he is at fault too for what happened. He ignored the problem till now. He should have confronted her before.
She's done a lot of bad things but he's not innocent at ALL. He watched her mistreat their child, didn't bother helping her since she was obviously dealing with PPD. He abandoned his son and his wife just like she did. I read the raws but I didn't understand it cause I don't speak Korean but I think the wife has another reason as to why she hated her son. Does that excuse her behaviour? No, but it does give us her perspective.
I agree with with Harcen. And the way she said "You were my best choice" was so heartbreaking. Like you can see that he flinched. Being told such a line by your other half is so crushing. If you weren't ready for kids then you shouldn't have had one in the first place. I don't care if she did that for her family or anything but to ruin one innocent life to save another is still being a jerk. What was the fault of the little kid who just wanted his parents' love and attention? "The only one I could blame was the child" wtf? Does that mean it's okay to do so? As someone who was born from parents who had zero love for each other and had to suffer from it. I HATE her. Do you know that by your neglect you must've made the child despise himself? Thoughts like "If I was better then she wouldn't have treated me this way" or " It's my fault that I'm useless" must have been on his mind. I'm sorry that I got too emotional but that's just not it.
