nothing wrong with feeling bad for him, its human empathy.. that's why we have psychologists & psychiatrists . he's mentally ill. it's a given that he's doing fcked up shits and im not saying that what he is doing is right. it's just that its not wrong to feel about others ..
I don't think liking his character is equivalent to condoning his actions or thinking they were okay in any way. He was clearly traumatised and abused severely at home and at school, and although this doesn't justify his behaviour, we can see that his character has a lot of depth and a past which makes him an overall really well written character. He was also so deprived of love and kindness, so I think what people mean by "loving" him is wishing that his life wouldn't be so miserable, despite all of his terrible actions. It is possible to like and feel bad for a character whilst disagreeing with their actions.
