Yep, in a society ruled by those that give birth, contraceptives for the 'male' part would be common...
And here we are, with the last major study for male contraceptives being stopped in 2012...

I know there are newer studies, but not from the WHO and of now there is no official contraceptive for males. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)

ummm... that was not what I was talking about.
I meant, that aside from condomes there are no contraceptives for men, so they don't get their partner pregnant.
In this story the alpha could take a contraceptive, in real life there is no such thing.

Which is bullshxt because females have to go far and back to make sure we don’t pregnant even though we’re not the ones doing the impregnating. While it does takes two, it’s not equal.

Males can impregnate several females in one sitting while we females take 6-9 months to pop
    out one baby.

University of minnesota said they were gonna invest money into it last year. IDK how far it went but Minnesota is pretty progressive.

There seem to be projects in Australia and India too.
The one in India involves a plant extract that had been used by natives. Seems to be really effective and supposedly has near to no side effects (but I have yet to find a good study on it, so I wouldn't bet on it).
