No, it’s just reincarnation. The beginning of the story is set out in the 80s I think and then the epilogue it’s dated 2020. They died and were born again in a society were homosexuality were more accepted, implying they could live a more normal life to back then.
Of course they also don’t have a criminal record when they’re reborn haha. I remember the cop wishing them to have a normal life if they have a second life as well.
Also, they get their memories of their previous life back when the first meet each other. That’s why they cry even though it’s their first encounter in their second life.
This is a really great story but I'm confused what really happened at the crime scene and K being suspicious and the happy ending at the end. Did they not continue to suicide together and lived happily? If that's so, I'm so happy for them. I'm happy that they get the happiness they deserved. <3
