What is it with Harlequin mls and their inability to actually apologize for what they did? First of all, if she was someone trying to sleep with him for benefits, she would have stayed and tried to get those benefits, as his understanding from his own flashbacks to past experiences show! I guess in his world all men are ALWAYS loyal to their wives and NEVER have mistresses. If they do it was only because their innocent hearts were swayed by the seductive WO-MAN, who will always try to sleep with good married men for benefits. Yeah, I don't get why he believed that sniveling cheating weasel, the truth was so obvious. "OOOOH, I never realized reverse #metoo was so rampant!" Pffft, this is one of the many reasons women don't want to report harassment, not only are they afraid they would not be believed, but they might actually be accused instead! Look at all those creepy old men surround her, knowingly as they accuse her and terminate her contract to protect the "good-ol'-boys".
And then no apology for RUINING her career! Just a typical, 'I love you now and so I believe you. Be with me and forget what I did to you." Harlequin nearly always has the theme that women can't be mothers and have a career, in fact, they can't achieve true happiness without being married, with kids, and give up all their other ambitions. EVEN when they have a side character who is doing just that, as a single mother no less! Props to that photography assistant supporting herself and her child while working in the art field! That's hard. I wonder what happened to her since the fl just gave up being a photographer and the story just ends?

Why do I continue to read this sh#$!!!!! AWWWWWW it's an addiction! This wasn't the worst one of the bunch but was definitely not good. I guess it also feels good to rant like this about slights to womankind. ¯_(T-T)_/¯
