based on MY observations, my theory is that this Hwan isn't actually our cute smol Hwan that we knew when they were still a child. Notice how there are no enemies whatever appearing when they became official? It's because the enemy is already there. in front of chiwoo. and that would break his heart. the ferris wheel confession (if i remembered clearly) was kinda sus too so yeah.
though this is only a speculation and my theory. just be warned that don't believe this 100% because i might be wrong.
