Ntg can justify late empress action but let’s not forget that the emperor hold a big power in the castle. Had he take action upon his affair with the concubine & not forget his status as an emperor & full husband to the empress things would not go wrong.

You’re talking as if he did something wrong when their laws literally permits them to have concubines, more so in cases where the empress can’t have children. Which was the case with her.

When you have a concubine, it’s not considered an affair no matter how insulted and hurt the empress is by it. The only thing he’s guilty of, is being so naive that he didn’t think to leave someone who could protect his concubine when he went off to war.

But one cannot be unfair with the empress & concubine. If the emperor cannot respect the empress & gave al his attention towards the concubine, how do u think all his subject will see the empress as? She only have status as the the emperor wife n dats is. She can’t do anything other than doing her daily task as the empress of the country. She is already infertile, the emperor doesn’t love her, her subject doesn’t respect her cause the emperor doesn’t. It’s not an affair ofc but the emperor didn’t take care of her status as an empress which is wrong. As much as he luv his concubine he need to remember that she is still a commoner. You talk like this as if u didn’t read -Remarried Empress- what Sovishu doing is as the same as this late emperor doing. Boasting around on how much he dote his concubine instead of the Empress. Just that the difference is Trashta is annoying asf

Okay, you lost me. I don’t remember seeing the late emperor once, so why are you assuming that he treated the empress like shxt, exactly? Because he loved his concubine? Because the concubine got pregnant which drove the previous empress mad? We know exactly four things: 1- the emperor had a concubine whom he loved. 2- the concubine got pregnant 3- the emperor went to war 4- the empress stole the concubine’s child and abused them both. Nothing else. That’s why I made the point I made, so I’m a little confused as to how your reply relates to that.

Also using another fictional story to make a point just throws me off too; I need something a little more legit. I don’t read stories by making those types of comparisons because the rules aren’t even the same in both.

    Ok take it like this
    - ur dad is a rich man n owns a big company, n he already had a lover which is ur mom, but his parent’s don’t approve ur mom n dad rs. Hence Ur dad need to marry with a woman who have a high quality background. Then which they will allow ur dad to have ur mom as a mistress.
    - considering that the marriage between ur stepmom n dad are just for political, do u think it is ok for ur dad to disrespect n not gave any attention to ur stepmom? Cause she is infertile n he didn’t love her like he did to ur mom? Because when she alr marry to ur dad meaning she got ntg else other than her status as a wife of a rich man. Geddit?
    - technically ppl in ur dads company gave less respect n even have high expectations on ur stepmom cause she got ntg other than her status. Ur dad alr doesn’t love her, she can’t gave birth, so as a woman what does she have?
    - ur dad more or less couldn’t careless about ur stepmom cause he bz wif ur mom n his company. So tell me how would ur stepmom feels? Knowing that there’s no one was there to comfort her?

So what I’m trying to say here is, even if it is just a political, ur dad needs to understand that ur stepmom is still his legal wife n he needs to remember that he is obligated to be there for her regardless of the situation. So I can’t really fully side on u whom being abused by ur stepmom when ur dad wasn’t even there in the first place for her. Taking care of her as he should

I agree with this. The emperors of the Mavinus Empire are notorious for neglecting their wives/empresses. It isn't in terms of law, no. It's in terms of respect, communication, and the vow of holy matrimony. I don't recall whether Empress Alissa loved the Emperor but I am very positive she was extremely jealous of Janet. Why? Alissa is the daughter of the House of Oswins - a duchal house. Her father was one of the pillars (dukes) of the empire. That's why she became queen, because she was the most eligible woman in the entire empire. But a queen's true purpose is to bear an heir and when she found out she was infertile, she went mad. Mix that with the rumors going around about how her husband cared more for a concubine than her, she could not take it. For the "most eligible woman in the empire" to be humiliated in such a way, her anger was understandable but not justifiable.

I don't know if you'd want spoilers but all I can say is there was a third person involved that caused Empress to go into a rampage. Regardless, it was still Empress Alissa's decision to listen to this person. While it was the Emperor's decision to turn a blind eye. He did not care for Alissa just as he did not care for Lucio. Because if he did care for his only son, how could he not have watched over him? Lucio was taken from his birth mother by the Empress. She kept him by her side and abused him as he grew up. How could the Emperor not have noticed any of that happening?? We'll probably never know but regardless, he still neglected these people. Both Alissa and Lucio.
