he didnt -really- cheat on her tho, he cheated on the original. hell, he's never even slept with the mc~~~~~
He still cheated because he was supposed to be the original's concubine, but he slept with another woman, knowing full well that he already belonged to another woman. That means he has the potential to cheat again. He hasn't proven to LOVE the MC, but more that he WANTS her love.
