You're right. That whole scene was just bad. Naoto wanting to hang out with Taichi and NOT have sex is entirely valid, and honestly should be completely normal for persons in a relationship. Despite what BL-crazyworld would have readers think, people in relationships don't have sex 6 times a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. But what made it worse, is both Naoto and Taichi lowkey blamed the incident on Naoto later, and it wasn't his fault at all! (uke has to make up for the seme's bad behavior yet again, sigh....) If I ignore this scene and just pretend like they got in an argument instead, I can like the rest of the comic for the most part. It's a shame I have to do that though.
This author has a general problem with consent in most of their comics, which is annoying because outside of those issues/moments, the rest of the writing is pretty good. This one happens to have other problems, like bad top/bottom stereotypes for no real reason. Side characters keep saying Taichi's hot, but no one ever says it about Naoto (despite him being drawn hotter IMO), the top gets girls flinging themselves at him, and the bottom only seems to be able to attract other men, the top is smart, the bottom is stupid, etc etc. It's a shame this author, with their really lovely art, keeps getting stuck in these bad tropes.
Ummmmmm.....so like are we gonna forget the fact that taichi raped naoto like boy literally punched him and raped him because of his jealousy like i get character development and yada yada but like he sorta did the same thing before when they were in school and if someone can rape and hit someone once doesn't mean they wont do it again
It clearly states that he'll do batshit crazy stuff when he is jealous and the fact that they didn't even talk the incident out and just continued living is just so.....
