synthetic diamonds can be made by humans but rough natural diamond will takes decades of heat pressure and cooling to be made...
I do believe they are the same properties but synthetic diamond is cheaper because we could produce it than digging and mining that is costly labor and dangerous, and its deposit which is one of the reason for its expensive.

Some ppl in the comment section really don't know diamonds can be made.... Heck alot of diamonds nowdays are man made ( although not as pretty and valuable as organic ones). Cheaper diamonds are usually man made. Some of the diamonds y'all wearing there's a 50% or more it is man made(▰˘◡˘▰)
