
i loved it. i always always love works centered around love, whether it be wholesome or works like these were love is the worst possible thing you could do. and it makes so much sense to have that concept in the hell setting, because as demons, it’s so good that something as pure as “love” becomes their destruction.
i also loved how this story presented the feeling of loneliness at being at the top.
i thought for a second that we’d get a “happy ending” of sorts, with makoto and jonathan together, but, it makes the most sense for jonathan to do that, he’s already been lonely for so long. and i feel like he knew that his death would fuel makoto into doing the same thing he did, finding someone to surpass him, and freeing him from the prison/curse of love and obsession.
i hope you get surpassed makoto! taste the sweet release of death, but only after suffering for a few centuries, just as jonathan did.
10/10 story and art for me.
