What is a mahwa/manga/manhua of any genre that you think doesn't deserve the popularity it has?
I'll go first: Jinx.
There's a whole video about it and I think that sums up pretty much how I feel.
missing love was a bit problematic for me. i didn't like how they portrayed the rape scenes, they felt romanticised almost. i loved the art though, and did feel really bad for the main character. however, it rubs me off the wrong way. especially when u see people saving those exact scenes into their "smut" albums on mangago. back when i read it i didn't see many people pointing this out, they praised it actually. they said it was realistic, when its anything but.

“how to get my husband on my side” i’m always gonna talk shit about it because of how disappointed I was when I read it. First of all the ml is a huge asshole when the fl was out here having a full on panic attack, he would yell at her and he would act so overly aggressive for no reason and I also think he’s just bland even after he got his character development his whole entire character just revolves around protecting and loving the fl and that’s it. Now this is a very controversial opinion, but ruby is poorly written she lacks so much character development and her only personality trait is being pitiful. She could’ve been a great character if the story didn’t focus so much on her suffering. The romance was also very forced. I did not feel the chemistry at all the scene where they’re supposed to fall in love the whole forest scene was so rushed and the only reason why the ml likes her is because she reminds him of his mother and it felt more like pity than love. Then storyline went downhill after the forest scene she was independent now she fully relies on every character and the whole entire storyline turned into trauma porn everyone was simply there to either save her or hurt her. She even got attacked by a random 14 year-old boy. It got to a point where I did not even feel bad for her at all. I was reading and I thought to myself is this really what people are hyping?

Both Bj Alex and Jinx! The artist is super lucky in my opinion cuz after reading hundreds of bls , neither the art, nor the stories or even the smut is not anything unique or smart at all …I never understood the hype around them at all!

tgcf is a good novel in a sense that its really written well and Imo MDZS is mxtx best work because it has the best social commentary and characters outside the main characters are fleshed out.

All the pairings are so cuteeee like agahaahahvd, I need to take a bite out of the ships, like a frickin cookie.
Tetsuo and Sumire didn't convince in the beginning, but, they've convinced me and I love love love their dynamics. Her love language of just baking a bunch of things, and give it to him, so cutee, I want that in my life. And Tetsuo is just chill, and quick to shot down any kind of misunderstanding. Like it can be cold, but, king ain't gonna make his queen worry about anything.
Hana and Yousuke are just relatable, first relationship and all, so adorable, and the mutual understanding of each other and all, ahdhxhdhdh, shoot me.
I can see Shinbashi and Sayana, but, it needs a lot of work, especially on Shinbashi's turn. It better not be just because he likes her, because she was nice to him in a moment where he got indirectly rejected by Sumire, and he's falling bc she nice to him. I want it fully fleshed out and making as cutesy and tooth rotting like the other two!
I don't really give AF for the little brother one sided crush, and it is pretty normal for his age to fall for someone older, he's probably in elementary school/middle school, and grow out of it.
As for the other characters, I like how the author includes them in the extras, like it actually makes you care for them and to me makes the school and classmates fleshed out, like actual characters and not game npc where they only speak if the main cast interacts with them.
Over all the story, art and characters are simple to understand, and for a high school romance, it is so calm and wholesome. Nothing big or dramatic happens, just actually believable miscommunication and misunderstanding that get resolved instead of getting bigger and bigger till the reader forgets what was the argument even about.
I feel the pacing of the story is just right. Especially for our main characters. They're shy and inexperienced, of course it's going to take them a long time to get comfortable with each other, but, them already voicing their desire of getting closer to each other and voicing it to each other is a great step.
Just, this manga is so non problematic, and also I love how the author is encouraging talking things out instead of being drowned by one's own doubts.
Overall, great manga, I've probably said this way to many times, but I don't care. In my personal ranking, it is pretty high up there with A Sign of Affection.
