Yeah this has been a running theory since early on though not necessarily everyone thinks Bada even exists outside he may purely be an inside existence that Doha grew attached to as a developer/player.

He could also be based on a real person since one of the other players is the cousin and a real person so if they were all developers creating a game together (college friends for example) that player could’ve been like remember my cousin who passed, in his memory let’s include him. Then Doha could’ve had some wild backstory and so on so forth that’s why he couldn’t imagine leaving what’s left of him. This author has created such a convoluted and well thought out plot that no one can figure out the actual ending haha.

Plus I remember reading the author's note. It was implied that they're activily reading the comments. What I get from that is they can easily pivot to backup plots in case the comments predict the next events.

Ah, that’s right! Which is the worst and the best because like fuck them for playing mind games with us, but also that’s super clever (if executed well like this.) I wonder if they also ever see a comment with something they didn’t think of that they end up including as a filler or alternate.

right?? if i remember correctly the readers were confused about something (i guess it was about the pickles??) and the author said they made sure to add it in the upcoming chapters as a recap / to clear things up. so yeah it was then i had a thought like, if they can do that, then they can surely also change their plot if its become too predictable based on the comments.

but all bada's tape would do is bring back his memories no? how does hiding it stall the game aaaa

If bada recalls his memories he will surely give his all to finish the game since he already knows the mechanics not when bada knows nothing doha can control him a little bit

I think Doha going stiff when they found a tape is a genuine reaction. I think he genuinely didn't know there was a tape there = he didn't find Bada's tape yet. We all know how calculative Doha is. He wouldn't leave that tape there so he could keep watch on it + he wouldn't let Bada near that area if he decided to leave it there.
