Umm, if you read it in one-go, it's not that bad? I'd actually been picking up interesting covers to read later and stayed for the whole 98 (as of Sep 13) instead of simply sonding it out.
In fact, it's a bit surprising to see so many readers frustrated, although it would make sense when you read 100-chapter drama manga ongoing, lol.
Anyway, ch. 98 made me audibly cuss, haha.

As much as I don't like to follow the MC who hit a rock bottom, his cosmic-speedy recovery in the first 8 or even less chapters is ridiculous. Not my cup of tea.

I like how the characters feel genuine: the MC, the ML - even the supporting roles.

Sure, there is a goal to read the letter and know more about friends that had to live on without him. It's all, however, trampled on with "overpowered genius MC" (TM) doing "overpowered genius MC" (TM) things. Unfortunately for me, not something to my preference.
Oh, I thought they would choose themselves to win the sympathy card, lol.
I find it somewhat entertaining how the heroine is pathetic, dramatic and generally unlikable.
"I've tried so hard :( " - Yeah, sure, girlie.
Still, that's more fresh than heroines with their biggest flaws being being too kind, too smart, too brave, too beautiful, and soooo not like other girls.
Just starting out. Tbh, I would have loved the story more if it was about the ML and MC's friend. They have a potential for more interesting dynamic than Grim Gloom x Sunshine.
Ughhh, I think the title is a bit misleading, lol. I expected there would be more palace intrigues.
Wish Kanna had just a bit more depth. She has a potential to be an interesting character.
The pacing is a bit wacky. I think the summer arc would have enjoyed way more chapters. It didn't feel that the characters spent three whole months together at all. I thought it was three days - a week maximum.
