Man i rly want to like this story so much but i still don't know where this is going like not in looking forward for more, but, idk
Yo don't hate me for this but i think potato's character design lacks character.. i was suprised that potato & HS turned out to be the second couple. Unlike chanwoo and MD, they got a strong character and left me with a good impression upon seeing them the first time meanwhile potato were just like any NPC to me ┗( T﹏T )┛
That being said, can someone put me in a new perspective?? What about his design that make him stand out?
i guess maybe the fact that hes wholesome and takes things a little more seriously. a bit naive sure, but probably has a backbone unlike dans non-existential one. ,
I feel like with potato is more about his personality rather than his looks, he is just meant to be that one guy that is average.
I love him but I feel like beyond him worshipping jaekyung he does not stand out tbh and I hope that mingwa does more with his character since I see a lot of potential in him (=・ω・=)
and its literally so easy to build up his character as well, like picture this: potato for most of his life grew up in a small village at the country-side, hes used to it, and he likes it for the most part, but he seeks something more exciting. then maybe one day, hes watching television whilst his parents are sleep, and they end up stumbling onto a boxing channel, in which he watches jjk boxing for the first time, and that's how he grew to worship and appreciate jjk (and find his love for boxing,) and decides to seek out by moving to the city.
potatoes parents are actually decent people so after a bit of convincing, they send their son off to the city a few months later, (with of course, money, and a bit of guidance) he finds a cheap one bedroom apartment to live in, he finds a part-time job to scrape by for a bit, and after more searching around the city, he finds THE boxing gym, and he meets his idol there for the first time.
boom, done.
WHY DOES THIS SOUND LIKE A SPOILER TO ME, no but fr like it might be too early to introduce the side characters main plots and their life but I also feel like potato or even any other side character isn't as interesting as the main character.
I feel like with MD and chanwoo was that they were so different from dg and jiwoon that made them so interesting but yeah let's hope for potato to be more relevant
